In order to possess a still stronger document than your E.eport of September to the Baron by which we might inculcate to the respective High Offices the urgent necessity of getting immediat possession of those promises, I proposed to the Baron to send you the inclosed minute to lie written by you, and send hack again to him that he might show to those who procrastinate the decision of the affair, and I requested him to apply to the office in the mean time also, and to refer to the arguments contained in the minute. But the Baron being in hopes to get the Magazines very soon without such application did not accept my advice, and thought superfluous to send the minute to you. I am afraid the final decision is not so as the Baron think it. And as that document to be signed by you, if in our hands, can do no harm at all and be of great use in case of necessity. I wish to assist the Baron in his own spite, and to have the document ready when wanted. I therefore request you to write the inclosed minute down according to your own styl in good english, directing it tho the Baron, and after having signed send it to me Pesth by the post as soon as possible. Most pedig Isten őrizze Önt attól, hogy hibát kövessen el a kívánt okmány elküldésekor ; a báróra czímezze, de hozzám küldje, mert ő megharagudnék, lm rájönne, hogy én messzebb látok, mint ő, bár meg vagyok róla győződve, hogy lassan-lassan örülni fog a dolognak. A slierry és madeira igen kitűnő. A budapestiek csak most kezdik tudni, hogy mi a sherry és madeira. — Sokkal jobban vagyok, mint voltam: ablakom alatt a majmok játéka rendrendkivül mulattat.
