Abstract: The originál article presents a histoncal review of the major floods influenced by the tnbutanes over the 123 years elapsed since hydrographic observations on the Tisza River were mtroduced. The record flood in November, 1998 was -exceptionally - uninfluenced by the left-hand tributaries. The gage-relation curves during this hydrologically isolated flood wave are compared with those of the influenced flood waves descnbed in the former article.
