By their detection useful information can be obtained on the above processes. In the possession of audiofrequency-, ultrasonic frequency- and impulse-excitated photoacoustic measuring systems and special measurement evaluation methods, the luminous flux as well as some optic, thermic and elastic characteristics of the sample can be measured. László Hajas-Attila Kovács: Operating and servicing experiences (2.)„KEITHLEY” digital multimeters. Based on technical data and supplies, as well as on operating and servicing experiences, the authors — members of the KEITHLEY brand service — introduce the digital multimeters of the KEITHLEY instrument factory. Károly Henk: Advanced digital multimeters The article provides a comprehensive review about the main features, as well as the constructional and circuital designs of some advanced digital multimeters. It describes the services connected with measuring adata processing, data storaging and measurement timing provided by microprocessor control, the possibilities of programming as well as the interface control (Standard IEC 625/IEEE- 488) that ensures system compatibility. Jenő Kőfalvi: Thermal lens spectroscopy In the article a new detection method of the laser beam induced changes in materials, as a special case of the interaction between the material and the electromagnetic radiation, is detailed. Following the introduction, which outlines the principles, some aspects of the instrument construction, then several practical applications, particularly the ones used in the analytic chemistry, are described. Tamás Csont: ESPI - A novel application of laser beams in the measuring technics The author outlines the principle of the electronic „grain picture” interferometry and its use in measuring of strain, which is the newest field of the application of laser beams in the measuring technique. Rudolf Radnai: Software packages of measuring technical purpose, for personal computers The use of the low-price and high performance personal computers in the measuring technique is facilitated by a number of integrated software packages. They contain modules that can be used for not only instrument control, data collection and evaluation but for several other purposes as well. In the article the best known systems are reviewed. 3
