Borsod megyei népművészete (Miskolci Herman Ottó Múzeum, 1981)

It is a very nice tradition of the museums’ educational activity that the characteristic joints of the collections are shown also in other museums of the country in form of guest-exhibition. Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county — what possesses variable historical traditions and many-coloured natural endowment — present itself in Nógrád county with the relics of artistical value of the peasant culture. At the exhibition are seen the folk art of ’’matyó”, the beautifully decorated ceramic of Mezőcsát and Sárospatak, the less decorated, but fire-proof vessels of Gömör, the wood-carving of the highlands herdsmen, embroidered frocks as the relic of the handcraft, flowered furniture and church furnishings made by peasant and borough master joiners, carved house ridge from Biikkalja, and man-formed columns of stables.
