Nemzetköi szimpozion Siklós/Ajka (Pécsi Kisgaléria, 1996)
A DeForma Képzőművészeti és Iparművészeti Alapítvány 1993-ban jött létre. Célja a tágan vett környezetkultúra fejlesztése, alakítása, különös tekintettel a mindennapi élet tárgyaira, eszközeire. Tevékenységét döntően a porcelán, a kerámia és az üvegművészet irányában folytatja, ám kapcsolatot keres más területekkel is. Kutatja a kortárs iparművészet és képzőművészet határterületét, keresi kapcsolódási lehetőségeiket. Vállalt feladatát elsősorban szimpozionok szervezésével, lebonyolításával, kiállítások rendezésével teljesíti. Az immár többszáz darabos és folyamatosan bővülő gyűjteménye az Alapítvány közreműködésével a siklósi Kerámia Alkotóházban, a Kecskeméti Nemzetközi Kerámia Stúdióban és az Ajkai Üveggyárban megvalósult szimpozionokon készült művekből áll. Kollekciója számos külföldi és hazai kiállításon aratott sikert, elismerést. Az Alapítvány közvetítő a művészek és a gyárak között. Ehhez, valamint biztonságos működéséhez hátteret, formai keretet biztosítanak a Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Rt-vel, a siklósi Kerámia Alkotóházzal és a DeForma Keramikus csoporttal való szerződései, s melyekhez hasonló megkötését tervezi a közeljövőben az Ajka Kristály Kft-vel is. A DeForma Alapítvány közhasznú feladatot lát el, vállalkozói tevékenységet nem folytat. Önálló, nonprofit szervezet. Működését a széles körből érkező és várt támogatások biztosítják. Its aim is to develop and form the culture of our environment, in the wider sense of the word, ecspecially concerning the objects and means of everyday life. Its activity is mainly practised in the field of porcelain, ceramics and glass art, but it also searches for contacts with other branches. It researches the boundaries of contemporary applied and fine arts, looks for their possible joinings. Its undertaken aim is primarily realized in organizing, arranging symposia and mounting exhibitions. Its collection, including already hundreds of artworks, which is continouosly growing, is based on those artworks which were created in the symposia of the Ceramic Creative Studio of Siklós, the International Ceramic Studio of Kecskemét and the Glass Factory of Ajka, all supported by the Foundation. Its collection has been successful and met with recognition at several foreign exhibitions and Hungarian ones, too. The Foundation is actually an inter-mediator between the artists and the factories. Its background, regarding safe functioning and legal frame, is ensured by contracts entered with the Porcelain Manufacture Ltd. of Herend, the Ceramic Creative Stúdió of Siklós and the DeForma Ceramic Group. The same contract will also be entered with the Crystal Ltd. of Ajka in the coming future. The DeForma Foundation is of public utily, has no enterpreneurial profit. It is an independent, non-profit organization. Its activity is based on financial support given by sponsors from a wide circle, which is hopefully growing. Ihr Ziel ist die Entwicklung und Gestaltung der in breitem Sinne verstandenen Umweltskultur, mit besonderer Hinsicht auf die Gegenstände und Werkzeuge des Alltagslebens. Die Tätigkeit der Stiftung umfaßt haupsächlich die Porzellan- Keramik- und Glaskunst, aber es wird Verbindung auch mit anderen Bereichen gesucht, und den Grenzgebieten des zeitgenössischen Kunstgewerbe bzw. der bildenden Kunst nachgeforscht, sowie ihre Verknüpfungsmöglichkeiten erörtert. Die Stiftung erfüllt ihren Aufgabenkreis in erster Linie durch die Organisierung und Abwicklung von Symposien, sowie die Veranstaltung von Ausstellungen. Die zur Zeit bereits mehrere Hundert Exemplaren aufweisende, und sich ständig erweiternde Sammlung besteht aus Kunstwerken, die in den durch die Stiftung organisierten Symposien angefertigt wurden. Diese Symposien fanden im Keramik Künstlerhaus in Siklós, im Internationalen Keramikstudio in Kecskemét bzw. in der Ajkaer Glasfabrik statt. Die Kollektion brachte in zahlreichen ausländischen und ungarischen Ausstellungen Erfolg und Anerkennung. Die Stiftung ermöglicht gleichzeitig auch die Verbindung zwischen Künsdern und Fabriken. Dazu bzw. zur problemlosen Zusammenarbeit liefern die mit der Herender Porzellanmanufaktur A.G., dem Siklóser Keramik Künstlerhaus, und der DeForma Keramik-gruppe abgeschlossenen Verträge den Hintergrund und den förmlichen Rahmen. Der Abschluß eines ähnlichen Vertrages wird zukünftig auch mit der Kristály GmbH in Ajka geplant. Die Stiftung DeForma befaßt sich mit allgemeinnützlicher Arbeit und funktioniert nicht als Unternehmen. Sie ist eine selbständige, nonprofite Organisation.
