Fundamental rule (extract) Name of the organization: Hungarian Society of Enamel Artist Residence: Hungary 1239 Budapest, Grassalkovich u. 157. Aims of society: - This Society is nationwide, general organization for safeguarding of interests which holds together the individual creators without style restrictions. - raising the level of this profession - representing in front of different forums - secondarily providing for various organizational tasks. - On behalf of the aims mentioned above, it - gets and keeps in touch with Hungarian and foreign co-organi zations - organizes an exhibition at a leading place at least once a year (as a secondary activity of the organization) - invites art historians to deal with the contemporary Hungarian and foreign enamel art tendencies, and the results of international competitions in theory - freshens the enamel art-life by creating and supporting art symposiums, and by foreign participants (as a secondary activity of the organization) - looks for contacts with foreign and Hungarian enamel makers, factories, workshop Programme: Acquainting people with enamel art and its practitioners, secure recognition for them, and popularization, realization of its true place in the Hungarian contemporary art. This is an interest-protective organization representing the interests of enamel art and artists, the aims of wich are to create professional and intellectual individualities of enamel artists working and living in Hungary; supporting their activities, and keeping the traditions of the Hungarian enamelling. They would like to work together with the Union of Hungarian Society of Fine and Applied Arts, and they wish to become a member of the Society of European Artists. Detailed project: 1. Publication of a catalogue - presenting the members of the Society which was founded 7 January, 1997., - together with an introducing exhibition in the Budafok Art Centre 2. Introducing exhibitions in Budapest, organizing a symposium with Hungarian and foreign art historians and artists as speakers (entitled The place of enamel art in the Hungarian l ine Art and Applied Art). Professional forum. 3. Organizing a publication and conversation in the question of the Education of Enamel technology and art practise with particular regard to the field of first grade art education. Acquaintace, analyse of its place in the higher education of arts, and supporting the coordination and development facilities. 4. Carrying out and catalogi/ing the survey entitled Enamel works in public domains, mural pieces of art in Hungary, even completed with researching the enamel materials in Hungarian public collections. 5. Cooperating with the International Workshop of Enamel Art in Kecskemét, researching financial and patronal possibilities of the international enamel workshop. 6. Foundation of an Award of Enamel Art celebrating the Day of Fire. 7. Enamelled picture and object, industry and Art - enamel factories in Hungary (Budafok, Bonyhád. Kecskemét. Salgótarján), coordination looking for sponsoring abilities, preferential working chances and reduced prices in buying materials, entering into cooperation contacts. 8. Further development and keeping international contacts. Getting into the blood circulation of the international enamel art. Participation in foreign exhibitions and symposiums /France (Limoges), Germany (Fachenbach). Russia Spain Israel, etc./ 9. Wide-ranging information by permanent contact and sending information to the collegaues, members (competitions, exhibitions, publishing chances). Participations, nationwide rewievs of Fine and Applied Arts, festivals. Announcing a competition for keeping and renewing the traditions of enamel art. 10. Preparing for the first international biennial festival of enamel art in Budapest, in 1999 (administrative, organizations, occupational work). It can be envisaged only at a very frequented place (Museum of Applied Arts, Etnographical Museum, probably the Vigadó, or the Congress Centre). For this ocassion a special coloured book, catalogue may be published (presenting countries, and artists), which would like include the history of enamelling, a study ambitions, tendencies, creators, and problems of the Hungarian contemporary enamel art. Well know lecturers would be invited here.
