160 2011/3.: TAMÁS KÖRMENDI: Evolution of the patriarchal­crossed coat of arms of Hungarian kings - Demonstrates with analysis (examination of coins, primarily) that the double-crossed pattern appears on escutcheon only in the days of King Béla IV. So the divided shield is the prior part of the Hungarian kings' coat of arms, evidently. IMRE TAKÁCS: Coat of arms on the seals of the kings of Árpád dynasty - The author supports the same theory as Tamás Körmendy, after parsing the patriarchal-crossed insignia. CSABA T. REISZ: Digital contents serving the historical research -János Lipszky's long-lost and latent approach plates were found and they were identified after the digitization. However: publishing the digital images can be very useful, even without adding metadata to the contents. NORBERT C. TÓTH: Palatine changeover in 1458. Date of the first Parliament of King Matthias - Mihály Gúti Ország won his approval from parliamentary election and royal commission for his dignity. JUDIT IRINYI - GÁBOR IRINYI: János Irinyi'splace of birth is clarified - According to the parish registers Irinyi, inventor of matches was born on 18,H May 1817 in Albis, Bihar County. 2011/4.: TAMÁS KÖRMENDI: Coat of arms and variations by the clan Aba in the Middle Ages - A register of seals, including an assay on the usage of seals and coat of arms adorned with eagle and divided shield, in the tenure of the genus' members. TIBOR NEUMANN: The earliest coat of arms of the Szapolyai family - The original pattern included only the half wheel and the arm holding sword. The other components emerged later: the wolf was used by Imre Szapolyai for the first time, and the unicorn occurred even later. ATTILA TÓZSA­RIGÓ: Analysis about the usage of coat of arms amongst German­speaking civil communities (in Nuremberg, Vienna and Pozsony) in 16'h Century, considering new sources - The examination deals with two different source types: widely popular books of genealogy ('Geschlechterbuch') and civil testaments. KRISZTINA KULCSÁR: Granting coat of arms for reannexed territories ofBanat - A presentation and analysis of the new coat of arms ofBanat counties: Ternes, Torontál and Krassó. TIBOR NEUMANN: Handwritten letters of King János (Szapolyai) - Describes two letters of King János, written in 1516 and 1517. 2012/4.: KRISTÓF KEGLEVICH: Seals of the Cistercians in medieval Hungary - Specifications and custom in the usage of seals by the abbot, the convent, the grand chapter, and certain officials working in the central government of the order, specified by the general chapter. (The Cistercians were functioning as a place of authentication, on an occasional basis.) The relics have significance to art history as well. The appendix is a list of all seals of the Hungarian Cistercians (impressions and four remaining typariums) and a list of charters from the Abbey of Szepes.
