Stokum: Present experiences related to the establishing of the center for maintaining/servicing and repairing in Ho Shi Minh City (Vietnam) The director of the MMSz (Instruments and Measuring Technique Service) gave a presentation on a conference which took place in Helsinki from 17**1 to 20*^ Sept. 1989. and was organized by the Constant Committee of Scientific and Technical Developing Societies of the AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Science), residing in the USA, and coordinating international activity. The conference in Kairo, mentioned in the text, was the session of the Constant Committee in the previous year; from this year has the author been member of the committee upon request. Géza Bittsánszky: About Instruments' Centers (2) This proceeding of an article that appeared in our previous issue makes known the experiences of the Hungarian instrument center's realization, which are already used in the continuation of the program. The paper introduces the Agrobiological and Food-technological Instrument Center in Budapest. István Tóthmátyás-Dr. András Illényi—József Kiss—Tibor Komáromi—István Nagy—Géza Olchváry: Automatic acoustical and oscillating state monitoring system in nuclear power stations This paper describes the realization of a diagnostical system based on acoustical methods, to be used in nuclear power stations. It discusses the diagnostic system's tasks, the acoustical characteristics of the processes to be controlled, the technical and economical requirements, the subsystems which provide the individual functions, and finally the structure and functioning of the hardware. József Papp—István Tóthmátyás: System software for releasing the fundamental tasks of systems, observing the state of nuclear power stations The MTA MMSz (Instruments and Measuring Technique Service of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences) working together with the MTA SZTAKI (Research Institute for Computing and Automation Techniques of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences) has developed acoustical and oscillating diagnostic state monitoring systems for nuclear power stations, on the authority of the Nuclear Power Station Enterprise in Paks. The paper describes these systems' basic software, introducing its elements and its connection to the expert's frame system developed by MTA SZTAKI. László Kosik: Integrator for analyzing noise and vibration signals The article familiarizes with the characteristics and possible applications of an integrator based on the digital principle, developed by the „György Békésy" Acoustical Research Laboratory. The author introduces the structure of the instrument and deals with the questions of its connecting to a vibration or noise measuring device. Dr. András Illényi: Basic center for qualificating protection against noise and vibration in the „György Békésy" Acoustical Research Laboratory The „György Békésy" Acoustical Research Laboratory of the MTA (Hungarian Academy of Sciences), within the scope of the National Qualificating System serves as a basic center for qualificating protection against noise and vibration, for firms that are active in the field of the Ministry of Industry. The article makes known the jobs of the basic center and the system of qualification.
