This is followed by an interview with the Dutch dancer and choreographer Paul Lightfoot, working with Jin' Kylián and the Nederlands Dans Theater. Both artists were recently invited to Budapest by the Spring Festival. An other guest in Budapest, invited by the Trafó, was Carlotta Ikeda, the famous butoh dancer. She talks about her carrier and the butoh in an interview made by Rita Sebestyén. This is followed by an essay on the founder and father of the butoh, Ohno Kazuo. Katalin Trencsényi discusses the activity of the Royal Court Theatre, focused on contemporary drama. She presents both the past and the present of this major theatre workshop. Fanni Nánay gives an interesting overview of the cabaret tradition in Krakow theatres. The young and promising theatre director, living in Slovakia, József Czajlik is interviewed by Zsófia Veszti. Fie talks about his views on life and theatre, and also working methods. László Gerold reviews two recent performances from Yugoslavia. This issue is closed by a report on a newly opened artistic center in Magyarkanizsa (Yugoslavia), the city where Josef Nadj started his artistic career.
